I wanted to share that I’ve started a new role with Vertical Knowledge. VK is the leader in collecting and organizing publicly available web data. In business since 2006, we have unmatched data history, consistency, and quality. It is a massive amount of useful data. 90 West Data offered two data products.
In June, 90 West lost the license for the consumer transaction data. This data is no longer being offered in the market. Happy to share the details of this situation if interested.
The gift card data license is being acquired by another data vendor (yet-to-be-named). Customers of that product have been notified and will not see any disruption in data delivery. If interested in learning more about this offering, let me know & I will share your information with the new vendor.
The good news is that I will offer a publication similar to “Cross Country Insights” for Vertical Knowledge, succinctly highlighting interesting insights from the source data.
I will use this same email distribution list. It will likely take me some time to develop a quality offering, but you will hear from me unless you Unsubscribe.

Three Interesting things I’ve seen this week in 90 West’s data:
1- Health Savings Account Balances Moving Higher
2- Easter Bunny Loves Roblox
3- Crypto Volumes & Coinbase Drama
1- Health Savings Account Balances Moving Higher
Our panel of account holders is seeing Health Savings Account balances (avg & median) move higher along with the number of accounts.
The people in our panel that are in the Silent Generation are seeing average HSA balance moving lower.

2- Easter Bunny Loves Roblox
Each year we see a massive spike in RBLX gift cards purchase the Friday & Saturday before Easter.

3- Crypto Volumes & Coinbase Drama
The below chart represents the median & average amount of dollars being moved from bank account to a crypto exchange. Zooming in on the March 22 news release, we see little/no impact on the number of transaction or dollar volume being moved from our panel of tracked accounts.
Crypto trading apparently a weekday activity for the people in our panel.
